We are honored to announce thatZeng Weiping,Chief Designer of ZWP Design,will actas Chief Scientist ofthe Future Business Pattern Laboratory,Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies,Tsinghua University.
Initiating from business research,the Future Business Pattern Laboratory studies new models and new trades of business pattern and its significance in entrepreneurship and economic development in the context of international changes, and aims to be a dynamic interdisciplinary research platform that explores future lifestyles and civilization forms of human beings.
01The G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center,Tsinghua University
The G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center was established jointly by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Tsinghua University as commissioned by the former. The Lab aims to promote the implementation of the consensus reached by G20 leaders at the Hangzhou Summit in 2016 and the G20 Labor Employment Ministers’ Declaration, and enable China’s leading role in G20 Entrepreneurship Action Plan.
On January 11, 2017, the G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center was inaugurated in Tsinghua University under the witness of more than 200 attendees, including Minister Yin Weimin and Vice Minister Kong Changsheng of Human Resources and Social Security, Secretary of CPC Tsinghua University Committee Chen Xu, Vice President of Tsinghua University Yang Bin, as well as officials from embassies of G20 countries in China, senior representatives of international organizations in China, heads of relevant departments of the Chinese government, and experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from the field of entrepreneurship.

02 The Future Business Pattern Laboratory
Chen Xu, Secretary of CPC Tsinghua University Committee, pointed out that the establishment of the G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center not only meets the strategic demands of China, but also has great significance for Tsinghua University to develop internationalized talents in innovation and entrepreneurship. Nowadays when major economies are shifting their national strategies to focus on innovation-driven development and China is vigorously promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovation, the G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center is envisioned to be a global entrepreneurship research center that can exert influence on academic and policy-making issues and contribute to the success of entrepreneurship and employment through its research results.
Business is the name card of a city, a window to look into history, and a portrait of people’s life. In the ever-changing development context across the world, the Future Business Pattern Laboratory adheres to the research philosophy of cross-discipline, cross-sector, feasibility, and efficiency proposed by the G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center. It aims to further explore new space, new models and new trades for the future business development from a global perspective, and studies the development trend and innovation impetus of the global business pattern. It will create a platform integrating academia with industry, and theory with practice, so as to advance the theoretical and practical innovation of global business pattern.
The Future Business Pattern Laboratory is led by Director Gao Jian who concurrently serves as Director of the G20 Entrepreneurship Research Center, and professor & PhD Supervisor of Tsinghua SEM; the Executive Director Nie Ying who works as an Associate Professor and PhD supervisor of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University (AADTHU); and the Chief Scientist Zeng Weiping who is also the Vice President of Beijing Qingshang Architectural Design and Research Institute, a subsidiary held by Tsinghua University.
